PAUVRE RASTA

Pauvre rasta is modelled on a friend of the artist who lives in Crest. Bruno Catalano once again plays with the potential offered by the material: the liquid appearance is contradicted by the solidity of the bronze. The seemingly light-hearted theme depicts a character bending, flowing and disappearing. Behind this figure of the Rastafarian, we can see an allegory of peace, emphasised by the pendant worn by the character.
