ETUDE DE GUILLERMO

With this Traveller, Bruno Catalano experimented with a unique type of tearing. Guillermo's modelling, once completed, was split from behind to bring the entire surface of the work into a single plane. The figure and its story are literally laid flat, and the sculpture becomes like the skin of what was previously a volume. In this Study, the artist thus manages to create a sculpture that can be seen at 360° from a single vantage point.
