L’HORLOGE

Bruno Catalano's work is imbued with the question of passing time. La déchirure des Voyageurs (The Tearing of Travellers) is the best-known expression of this, but in his work, as in his choice of materials, many elements refer us back to the temporality and movement of things. The characters depicted by the artist very often wear a watch on their wrist, as a discreet reminder of finitude. In L'Horloge, movement and fragmentation are induced by time itself.
